About NW Angel Fund
NW Angel Fund is a private equity fund established with a clear mission: to expand and strengthen the broader investment community. We achieve this by cultivating closer collaboration among individual angel investors, family offices, institutional investors, and our portfolio companies.
Our unique value proposition lies in our proprietary deal origination platform, which provides our investors with exclusive access to new and compelling investment opportunities. We actively participate alongside other angels and investment groups, and critically, we facilitate syndication with like-minded General Partners (GPs) and capital partners to ensure the successful completion of funding rounds.
Beyond capital, NW Angel is committed to increasing the value of every investment. We actively assist our portfolio companies in effectively presenting themselves to a diverse range of investors, including syndicate partners, family offices, venture capitalists, corporate investors, and ultimately, the public markets. Our goal is to be a leader in developing robust syndication networks, ensuring our portfolio companies have access to additional co-investment, crucial follow-on capital, and pathways to capital markets liquidity. We seek value-added limited partners who can contribute not just capital, but also key resources to support portfolio growth, aid in due diligence, and refer further potential investors.

Nathan McDonald
CEO & Managing PartnerNathan McDonald is the CEO & Managing Partner of NW Angel Fund, where he oversees investment strategies and fund management, leading a portfolio that includes over 175 investments and a growing network of investors. With nearly two decades of experience in early-stage investing, Nathan has played a key role in supporting entrepreneurs and fostering innovation across multiple industries.
Bringing a strong background in entrepreneurial leadership and organizational development, Nathan has been instrumental in designing investment structures, implementing growth strategies, and coordinating large-scale investor engagement initiatives. His leadership has helped build one of the most dynamic investment ecosystems, facilitating funding for hundreds of companies.
Nathan holds a BA in Business Administration & Finance from the University of Washington’s Foster School of Business, with a focus on entrepreneurial leadership and venture finance. He is actively involved in supporting the next generation of entrepreneurs through his work with the Buerk Center Entrepreneur Alumni Committee, where he helps raise scholarship funds for aspiring innovators.
Brianna McDonald
Managing PartnerBrianna McDonald is a seasoned investor and leader in the early-stage investment community, with nearly two decades of experience supporting entrepreneurs and investors. As Managing Partner of NW Angel Fund, she focuses on identifying strong investment opportunities, prioritizing companies with clear capitalization plans, sound governance, and a path to profitability.
Beyond investing, Brianna is committed to early-stage ecosystem development and mentorship initiatives. She actively contributes to the entrepreneurial community as a Moderator for EO Forums, Chair of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Advisory Board at Seattle University, and a member of the International Women’s Forum.
Outside of work, she enjoys time with her partner and three children, embracing life through sports, outdoor adventures, and live music. Brianna’s mission is to advance innovation and technology through Collaboration, Openness, Resilience, and Excellence (CORE) fostering a culture where transparency, adaptability, and high standards drive meaningful progress in the investment landscape
